The legendary schooner yacht America racing in a fresh breeze on the Atlantic. 
The America is
well known for her extraordinarly performances in the classic yachting events. 
The original vessel was destroyed on land during a snowstorm in 1946, but a very fine replica was 
made later  on for the owner of
the Schaefer Brewing Company.

The Marguerite was one of many excellent pilot cutters serving in English waters in the late half of the 1800´s. 
Their construction where based on the design of the seaworthy English fishing cutters,
 
made to cope with extreme conditions in the rough coastal waters of the Atlantic. 
The Marguerite
still exists today, preserved by a group of enthusiasts in Cardiff.

The Thames Barge was an indispensable part of maritime life on the Thames, 
transporting all kinds
of goods on the river and additional coastal waters.  Many of them still exists today. 
In Saint Catherines Dock
in London You can find several very well preserved and still active sailig barges.
